Welcome to the weekly What's On newsletter, your curated guide to how to spend the upcoming weekend.

What's On in London?

ART
Infuse your weekend with a spot of culture by popping into an exhibition in London if the rain comes (or even if it doesn't). Li Tianbing’s new exhibition in Mayfair is a must-see - politically charged and powerful. For South Londoners, AMP Gallery in Peckham (pictured) is an immersive gallery-cafe-studio-dining room that fuses food and art.

GIN
This Saturday is World Gin Day, and all the best spots in town are celebrating. Give some love to your favourite tipple at Holborn Dining Room which has 500 different types of gin on their shelves, or at Purl in the West End (pictured) who use aromas, fog, air and foams to immerse you in the wonderful world of gin.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES
If a weekend in bed doesn't suit you, book one of London's best immersive experiences. If you've seen the movie The Wolf of Wall Street and felt an uncomfortable intriguing pull into the wild world of Wall Street, book the experience inspired by the movie and delve into your deepest desires. On a lighter note, Otherworld in Haggerston (pictured) is a neighborhood gem where in a 20 or 40 minute session, you and your friends can play games from fruit ninja to job simulator (which is bizarrely fun).

SAVE THE DATE
You're invited to a special event to celebrate Life Kitchens' 1st birthday. Simply email to RSVP and join us for champagne, canapés, a goody bag and a DJ as well as 4D virtual reality demonstrations...

What's On in the UK & Rest of World?

NATURE RESERVES
There's nothing quite like spending a sunny Sunday afternoon exploring nature. There are so many beautiful, protected nature reserves across the country and this season is the best time to visit many of them. Banstead Woods in Surrey (pictured) is home to a vast amount of stunning bluebells. In Devon, Bystock Nature Reserve is the place to sit amongst the lily ponds and grab some well-deserved relaxation before the week begins.

PICNIC SPOTS
This Sunday's weather is predicting to be warm with sunny spells. So grab the kids (or family, friends, or just go solo) and have a picnic in a wild setting. Ireland's beaches are rich and Yorkshire's Rievaulx Abbey (pictured) creates a historic backdrop for your scotch eggs and pork pies.

ECO-FRIENDLY DINING
Step outside of London and you'll find some of the best eco-friendly restaurants around. Lussmanns St Albans do a mean piece of sustainably sourced fish and the surrounding area is great for boutique shopping and tarot card reading (if you dare). On a 400-acre estate at Heckfield Place in Hampshire (pictured) the menu leaves nothing to waste. Plus, there's a lake for wild swimming, a spa, and a screening room for movies.

FREE PERFUME WITH ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION

Sign up for 12 print issues of Country & Town House magazine, plus supplements and instant access to the digital edition for only £20. Order by 1st July and you'll receive a free perfume, Stories by Eliza Grace, worth £80.

Hello New York,
The social app, Bumble, is expanding its reach quite literally into Manhattan with the premiere of it’s “Date-friendly” feature. The app used for romantic and professional endeavors is launching a Bumble Wine Bar in the city that will double as a safe working center and romance proofed first date destination for app users. 🍷🐝
Founders of Social-Work clothing line, Chenghui Zhang and Qi Wang, are revitalizing responsible production. The designers, moved by the strenuous work of laborers today and the irresponsibility of the industry, are determined to create fits without sacrificing humanity. 🎽😍
Forget calling a cab when you’re in a time crunch, call a helicopter instead! Our favorite transportation app has just stepped their game up, being the only one ushering travelers to Kennedy International Airport through the air! 🌇🚁
After 6 strong runs, the NYC Bacon and Beer Classic is happening again at Bushwick’s Brooklyn Mirage on June 8th. This ultimate celebration of bacon and beer is serving up gourmet dishes from 30 different restaurants and unlimited sips from over 100 brews. 🥓🍻

UBER Chopper Everywhere
Imagine making it from Manhattan to JFK in 8 minutes, wouldn’t that be a breeze? Quite literally, thanks to the newest Uber power move. The company, famous for cheaper rides with convenient pooling options, has partnered up with the smoothest choppers available to implement their Uber Copter.
The app's reward members of platinum or diamond status will be eligible for the sky-high ride this summer including ground support with travel and luggage afterward.
Responsible Designs
You don't have to feel guilty about these threads at Social-Work. The creators of Social-Work, educated professionally at Parsons School Of Design, are creating pieces that highlight humanity.
In an attempt to counteract the blind production and celebration of designers without accountability for their means of production, Social Work dedicates themselves to the work of seamstresses behind the scenes.
Wine and Dine With Bumble
Instead of worrying about what to eat and where to eat on a first date, you can focus on primping and preparing! Bumble is transforming their mobile presence into a much more tangible one, and it’s not serving up pasta.
The new wine bar menu will feature small plates, salads, and bites that are deemed safe for first impressions during business rendezvous and first dates, optimizing your experience networking at no headache to you.
Bacon And Beer Bonanza
Launched in 2013, the Bacon And Beer classic has conquered stadiums and venues in Chicago, San Fran, and New York. This event at the Brooklyn Mirage will have musical elements foreign to those in the past, enterprising on the summer vibes.
The outdoor setting of the venue and the menu will aim for a BBQ feel with plenty of bacon and beer to sustain the crowd through the duration.

For two hours, you’ll leave your inhibitions at the door and become a downright integral part of this culinary adventure. That’s right; if you’re totally over sitting down at another overcrowded weekend brunch spot and simply stuffing your face (and tummy!) with mediocre egg dishes and watered down Bloody Marys, listen up-- because this is not just another boozy brunch.
This is way more than that. It’s an artisanal food experience in a hip, industrial hotel setting, unlike anything you’ve ever seen or heard about before.

Hello New York,
Let’s watch one movie, explore one plot and share one intense experience! Le Cinema Club is revamping its website on June 14th, to further deliver their refreshing take on film. Since gaining so much attention and respect for their simplification of online streaming, they’ve set their sights on a new gem, Claire Denis's Keep It for Yourself. The previously unavailable film’s themes of female fluidity, comedy and the seemingly mundane make it one you don’t want to miss. 🎬📲
The desserts featured at LROOM are more than creamy and sweet. The flower shop turned Cafe hot spot, is serving up elegant and eye-catching dishes. In an effort to bring a dreamlike beauty into a tangible and edible state, creator Xue Ling’s menu items feature floral decorations, candy, and other tasty sugar arrangements. 🍨🌸
In the midst of financial and cultural divides, there are initiatives successfully improving the quality and unity of New York City life across the boroughs. The Excellence in Design Awards are rewarding the projects geared toward rehabilitation, through the building of gardens, housing, animal shelters and more, that may be right in your neighborhood. 🏆🗽
With yesterday’s new moon energies settling in and a supposed half-blood moon thunder eclipse on the horizons, the stars can be an intimidating topic. Venturing into the knowledge planets, stars, moon, and sun doesn’t have to obscure, Calley Nelson, a Brooklyn tarot reader is bridging modernity and the ancient art. 🌌🔮

Projects On The NYC Horizon
As difference threatens to pull New Yorkers apart, some are continuously launching projects that unify through education, rehabilitation, and empowerment. The Third Street Men’s Shelter and Greenhouse is one notable achievement in the East Village, transforming an underutilized lot into a therapeutic outdoor space providing wellness programs for shelter residents.
More Than Picturesque Desserts
A crossover between the vibrancy of a thriving flower shop and delectable desserts are drawing in serious crowds! One particular menu item, Cloud Nine, is popular. The dessert features ice cream adorned with fruits, safe to eat flowers and one wispy puff of airy cotton candy. Xue Ling’s background in design and education at Parson’s has undeniably enhanced her keen eye for creating visually stunning bites, and they’re taking Instagram by storm!
Get your Rose on!

Looking for the perfect way to celebrate Rosé Season? Skip the crowded rooftop bars and head to Rosé Mansion!
The new mansion opened in NYC over the weekend with 14 dreamy rooms full of interactive fun and Insta-worthy photo ops. You’ll discover a whole new side of Rosé as you wander through the mansion, sip pink wine from around the world, and learn about the history, science, and culture of this 7,000-year-old beverage.
Did we mention they also have tacos and the largest Rosé list in the country? Yeah, see you there.
Revamped Cinema With The Club
Claire Denis's Keep It for Yourself, is a celebration of the small string of moments that make up the New York City experience including the contrast between excitement and isolation and a sometimes stack of your favorite neighborhood flapjacks. The new launch of Le Cinema Club, a highly selective streaming website, will make the film available after it’s obscurity for nearly 10 years. The highlights of Le Cinema Club are their dedication to quality over quantity, promising to never flood those searching for the art of film anything less than great work.
Brooklyn's Tarot Reader
There’s nothing easy about trying to pursue a career in Tarot reading, in terms of learning the craft or servicing others but Calley Nelson is earning her place in the industry. The dedicated Tarot reader is building her empire, as a notable psychic who is always on call for individuals looking for spiritual insight. We sat down with Calley to learn more about her process and what this career choice is like on an everyday basis.

With time comes change, and there’s plenty of that going on at Alidoro's new Midtown Manhattan location-- especially with Hungry Pop’s two-hour, open bar happy hour feast (bottomless imported Italian beers and red & white wines; need we say more?!) launching weekly starting on Friday, June 21st at 6 PM.
The establishment will be loaded from front to back with imported Italian meats, cheeses, and more-- so much so, that you’ll be able to break their tradition of only ordering off its menu and for the first time ever, with a lil’ help from Alidoro’s expert sandwich makers, you’ll build your very own Italian sandwiches stacked with Italian meats and cheeses like imported prosciutto, capicola, soppressata, fresh mozzarella (and don’t forget those specialty toppings like arugula, sun dried tomatoes, and roasted red peppers, amirite?)!
