Well the weather may not be great just now, but come rain or shine you will find lots of creative activities going on in the area!
There are a delightful selection of workshops around at the moment - a few here in the newsletter with many more on the website - do have a browse, we are sure you will find something to tempt you! 
And with a great choice of music, theatre, poetry, talks, walks, exhibitons and more, there's definitely lots to choose from to keep you busy!

Creative Kirklees Newsletter 11 June 2019


There is a lot going on in Kirklees this week to celebrate the WOVEN festival! Why not pay a visit to Batley or Dewsbury to view ‘Ripping Yarns,’ featuring six short films by Alistair Macdonald, telling us the story behind the textile recycling business! Or maybe a social media masterclass with Sara Tasker is more for you?
In addition to this, there is also Holmfirth Arts Festival on this weekend, with numerous events taking place there is definitely something for the whole family. Perhaps going to see SEED by Pif Paf? Or maybe the Textile Banner Parade, taking place through the streets of Holmfirth this Sunday.
The next Temporary Contemporary Happening is taking place this Friday 14 June 5 – 7:30pm. Make sure to visit Queensgate Market for a look at the latest photography exhibition, the textiles artists exhibiting and a talk linked to Ripping Yarns, all part of the WOVEN festival.
