Bring science to life this autumn

It's almost October (we know, where has the year gone?), which means it's almost time for Bradford Science Festival 2025! This year we're heading to venues across Bradford to explore the future of everything from food to fashion and we'd love to see you there.

What's on

Bradford Science Festival

25 October – 2 November

Step into the future at Bradford Science Festival 2025.

This year, we’re bringing nine days of exciting events with locations across Bradford exploring the future of technology, fashion, climate, sound, and food. From catwalk shows to multi-sensory sound experiences, Bradford Science Festival has something for all ages to explore.

Living Dots: Nature, People and Place

Opens Friday 24 October. Free entry.

This experience transforms real Born in Bradford data into an interactive journey, revealing how data can inform future thinking around people, communities and green spaces across the city.

Robo Bingo

25 October – 2 November. Tickets free.

Bingo meets tech meets comedy: an interactive, smartphone powered comedy act like no other.

Experience a whole new side of bingo created by Foxdog Studios (Lloyd and Pete) and their robotic bingo mascot, Mr Bing. Expect chaos, games and laughs—fun for ages 8 to 8,000.

Talking Buildings Workshop

Saturday 11 October. Free, drop-in.

Personify the buildings of Bradford in this interactive family friendly workshop, part of Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture.

IMAX Short Documentaries

Experience the epic power of IMAX with our 45-minute 3D documentaries. Get up close to a polar bear, feel the rumble of a T. Rex's roar, take a journey through the strotosphere and dive into our deepest oceans. 

Films for all ages

Baby Friendly

Suitable for parents and carers with babies under 12-months

Enjoy a trip to the cinema with your baby with our regular baby friendly screenings, held every other Wednesday morning at 11.00. Upcoming films include Deaf (1 October) and Iron Ladies (10 October).

CineMinis

For chidren aged 2–5 and their grown ups

With £2 tickets, these family-friendly screenings of short films and TV episodes is the ideal way to discover the magic of the movies. Upcoming screenings include Julia Donaldson's The Smeds and the Smoos.

Kids' Club

For children under 12 and their grown ups

Keep building on their love of the big screen with regular family-friendly screenings every Saturday and Sunday. Upcoming screenings include Dora's Magical Mermaid Adventure and The Princess and the Frog.

BFI London Film Festival

BFI London Film Festival

8–18 October

The 69th BFI London Film Festival takes place from 8 to 19 October in London and around the UK.

The festival isn’t exclusive to London, and Pictureville is one of the partner cinemas this year which will bring audiences around the UK a thrilling line-up of BFI London Film Festival films—including new films from Chloé Zhao, Kelly Reichardt and Guillermo Del Toro.

BBC Introducing Live

Are you an aspiring musician, DJ or producer? Join us for a day of expert advice as part of BBC Introducing Live this October.

With panellists including artist Antony Szmierek, BBC Radio 6Music DJ Emily Pilbeam, TikTok star Casey Lowry and more, plus feedback sessions with indusry experts and your chance to DJ on our Open Decks in the museum foyer, you really won't want to miss this.

Tickets cost £3 and give you access to both industry panels and the opportunity to sign up for the Feedback Centre and Open Decks.
