This is your final invitation to enter our 18th annual Tom Howard/Margaret Reid Poetry Contest. The submission window will close tomorrow, September 30, at 11:59pm Hawaii time. $8,000 in cash prizes, including $3,000 for the best poem in any style and $3,000 for the best poem that rhymes or has a traditional style. The top two winners will also receive two-year gift certificates from our co-sponsor, Duotrope (a $100 value). Submit published or unpublished work. The top 12 poems will be published online. Entry fee: $15 per poem.           Prefer to Enter by Mail? Hear all about our exciting new events and innovative digital projects, go behind-the-scenes with our cast and creative teams, and enjoy live musical performances from guest artists and members of the Orchestra and Chorus of Opera North. Determined to keep sharing music with you all despite the many challenges and restrictions we face, our Switch ON season has been designed to reach people all over the North of England and beyond. More than 14,000 tickets are available for events in the Switch ON Season, at over 40 different venues, with 79% of tickets either free, pay-as-you-feel, or priced at under £15. We are delighted to invite you all to share an extraordinary experience with us once more this Autumn.   Join the celebrations and find out more...         Tonight's programme   Hosted by BBC Radio 3’s Suzy Klein, the concert ranges from a heartrending duet from Act III of Puccini’s La bohème, to an extract from Jasdeep Singh Degun‘s concerto for sitar and orchestra, Arya.
