Full line-up announced for Scotland's National Airshow 2019 On Saturday 27 July the National Museum of Flight once again plays host to Scotland's National Airshow – Scotland's only airshow this year! Joining our headliners the RAF Typhoon, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and aerobatic display team The Blades, we have also confirmed the Yakovlev Yak-3, North American T-6 Texan and T-33 Shooting Star and MiG-15 pair. Coming soon Wild and Majestic: Romantic Visions of Scotland From the Romantic movement of the 18th and early 19th centuries to Queen Victoria’s Highland idyll at Balmoral, our summer exhibition Wild and Majestic: Romantic Visions of Scotland (opening on 26 June) charts Scotland’s journey into the global imagination and invites you to think again about the meaning and relevance of ideas that continue to define Scotland today. The exhibition features over 300 objects from National Museums Scotland's collections and lenders across the UK, including a hunting rifle gifted to John Brown by Queen Victoria, which was recently acquired by the museum and will go on display for the first time this summer. read more What's on across our museums Country Fair Sun 2 Jun National Museum of Rural Life Join us this Sunday for a celebration of all things rural at the Country Fair.
