Holiday Weekend @ Seven
Next week sees the build up to Chapel
Allerton Arts Festival with a plethora of happenings at Seven
Arts, but also this week and during the coming Bank Holiday Weekend
there are events not to be missed.
Tomorrow, Wednesday
21st August 6-7.15pm, a welcome return after a short summer
break for Rush Hour Jazz with
Tessa Smith
singing some lovely jazz tunes with Ed Kaniek sax, Andy Cholerton
keys,\and the JazzLeeds Trio. Come and relax, buy a drink and listen to
some lovely music. Seven
Bar. PAYF donations. Organised by JazzLeeds.
On Friday 23rd August,
8pm, Disney Drag Bingo.
A new departure for Seven, Yorkshire Drag Royalty Ivy Alexxander and
Ladonna Dick present you with the ultimate night of mayhem. Combining
Music bingo, comedy and Cabaret performances based on the Music from
your favourite Disney films to create an unforgettable night! £12.
On Saturday 24th
August, 4-6pm, one of our favourites, Summer Sessions - Kwame D,
guaranteed to get you singing, tapping or even dancing to some smooth
reggae beats and soulful songs. Seven
Courtyard or Bar in event of bad weather. Pay What You Feel. Organised
by Mewl Music.
And on Sunday 18th
August, 1.30 pm - 4pm, JazzLeeds Courtyard
Sessions – Jazz Jam with the JazzLeeds Trio Vocalists and
instrumentalists, trad jazz to improv., standards to original tunes –
all are welcome – you can blow your own trumpet or just watch. Seven Courtyard or Bar in event
of bad weather.

Also for one day only on Sunday
25th August, Pop-up – Crave Kitchen
with Afro Caribbean food serving up freshness and flavours with food
for every mood – sea food, jerk chicken, curry goat and much more. From 12 noon.

Fesival 2024 with many events to
enjoy, starting with Anything Could Happen
(for the kiddies) and Silky & Friends on Wednesday 28th August;
JazzLeeds - Carioca Soul (venue)
and Irish Traditional Music
(bar) on Thursday 29th
August; Folk Roots Fringe - Yvonne
Lyon & Boo Hewerdine on Friday 30th August and culminating with
2024 Cafe Run, Sanctury Seeking Singers,
and Adam Glasser Quartet 'South
African Stories' on Saturday
