Creative Kirklees
Latest Events, News and Opportunities
Wednesday, August 28th
|
Festival season is not quite over yet - we
still have a couple of local festivals to enjoy in Kirklees. On 7
September, Farm Fest Mirfield
features internationally acclaimed saxophonist, Ellie Sax as well as
stalls, entertainment and activities for all ages. On 13-15
September, The West Riding at Dewsbury Train Station is putting on
it's first Bluesbury, a blues
festival hosting some of the best blues artists around.
The 2024/25 Kirklees Concert Season
‘Inspired Sounds’ programme starts on 9 September and is designed to
appeal to all, from seasoned concertgoers to first-timers, with some
fantastic special offers for young people. Go along and
experience the joy of live music.
If you're interested in the
role creativity can play in education, make sure you get your ticket
for Shape North's Creative Arts in Education Conference
on 13 September, with inspirational keynote speakers Keith Brymer
Jones & Ian Berry, workshops and discussions.
September also brings us
the Kirklees Heritage Open Days,
a festival of history and culture where sites across the district are
open for exploration. From 6 - 15 September it’s your chance to see
hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all free.
Keep up-to-date with what's
going on in Kirklees at www.creativekirklees.com
