Roll out the
red carpet for The Chickenley Tales
27th
July
1pm – 3pm
Chickenley
Community Centre
Join us for the launch of a special, new poetry book and film on 27th
July from 1pm – 3pm.
The Chickenley Tales is a unique collection of poetry written by
local people working with poet Izzy Brittain. With wit and humour,
insight and energy, these poems tell stories of resilience and
strength across the Chickenley community.
As well as the launch of the book it will also be the first ever
screening of the BCM All-Stars Majorettes film. The troop, which was
founded in 1988, have been working with Izzy to create a new
dance performance, which has been made into a film with a unique
soundtrack telling their unique story.
Copies of The Chickenley Tales will be available to pick up and FREE
