The 4th annual 100-word Microfiction Challenge kicking off on April 28th is a competition that challenges writers worldwide to create very short stories based on genre, action, and word assignments in 24 hours. Feedback from the judges is provided for every submission, writers retain all the rights to the stories they create, and there are thousands in cash prizes for the winners. Learn more about the competition, register, and read previous winning stories at the link below.  Good luck, writers!

A Few New Rules

We've refreshed our rules for this challenge, so we encourage everyone to read through them when you have a chance. A few of the significant additions are below:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Any stories that use artificial intelligence, robotic writing generators, or other software to create stories in whole or in part will be subject to disqualification. We will be using all resources available to enforce this rule, and all disqualifications will be in our sole discretion.

Exclusivity Period - We are now asking writers to please wait to publish their stories, whether on their own personal websites or through third parties, until 30 days after the round results are announced. We are hoping to publish more of our top stories, and this period will allow us to make an offer to the writers before they publish elsewhere.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns about the new rules, or anything else. Thank you so much!
