New
Cocktail Menu
Over the past few months our bar team have been
hard at work designing and testing a new cocktail menu.
While we have always kept our cocktail menu fluid at The Domino,
with tweaks and changes here and there, this is our first ever
full re-fresh and we can't wait to share with you what we've been
up to.
The drinks team at The Domino have continuously raised the bar
since day one and we are over the moon with all the hard
work they put into their drinks, extra thanks to Josh, Dan and
Lawrence for doing the heavy lifting on this new menu.

Game
Of Thrones House Tully
Singleton Glendullan Reserve
abv.
40%
The ancestral home of House Tully, Riverrun, sits
at the junction of the Red Fork of the Trident and the
Tumblestone River. The ruling Lord of the Riverlands, House Tully
embodies the power and ferocity of the rivers it sits between.
Using the power found in their positioning, House Tully forged
strong alliances and built a history of honour, family and duty.
Built along the banks of the River Fiddich, Glendullan Distillery
originally relied on the waters it lay beside, using a water
wheel to power the entire distillery. Like the Tullys themselves,
this single malt can benefit from a splash of water, opening up
flavours of green apple, honey and sweet vanilla.
50p from
each break even measure is donated to the Leeds charity MAP who help underprivileged
children get into the arts and music.
Break-Even-Price: £3.50
Usual
Price: £7.80

t'Other by Beggars Belief
This
Sunday 28th April, 5pm
at The Holbeck, a community club for everyone
run by Slung Low
You Pay
What You Decide
t’Other is a riotous
contemporary folk story aimed at anyone who wants an entertaining and
thought provoking evening.
In a town like ours but not quite now, and slightly off centre from here,
Cass & Hillary go about their daily business until their lives are
disturbed by the arrival of a curious, enigmatic & annoying stranger.
A story of mistrust, intolerance, unexpected friendship, and ultimately,
love, t’Other is chaotic in its form, warm in its heart and joyfully
jaggedy in its anarchic style of storytelling. Telling a fable for our
times, Goofus & Beggars Belief are trying to remain optimistic.
Created by Beggars Belief Collective, a young, Darwen-based company of
not-so-young artists/theatre makers, the piece will entertain audiences
with a story of our times told through extreme costumes, captivating
over-head-projected images and nostalgic soundtrack. The show will also
feature a song by our very own Holbeck Choir!
If you wish to sign
up to Slung Low’s mailing list and be the first to know about other
events at The Holbeck, please click here.
This performance has
a limited capacity, so should you change your mind before the event,
please let us know by emailing boxoffice@slunglow.org
to ensure we do not turn others away unnecessarily.
The performance is
You Pay What You Decide – you decide how much to pay after you have
seen the performance. All monies are then given directly to the
performing company. Please note the venue is cash only.
Car parking is
available at the venue.
We look forward to
welcoming you to The Holbeck soon.

Short Story Selection
Mark
Twain's take on the battle of the sexes is funny and witty and brilliant as
he writes once from Eve's perspective and then follow-up from Adam's.
A sample
observation from Eve, "He talks very little. Perhaps it is because he is
not bright..." I recommend starting with Eve first, then move over to
the companion piece, Extracts from Adam's Diary.
