Autumn
Sessions @ Seven
October is here with lots of great events to look forward to over the
month, starting tomorrow, Wednesday
4th October 6. - 7.15pm with Rush Hour Jazz - James
Lancaster. Originally a trumpet player James embarked on
being a jazz musician while at college in York through to running a
successful New York Band. Seven
Bar PWYF donations.
Also, on Wednesday 4th
October 7.30pm, is Murder Inc., a
comedy muder mystery that is made to order. The cast take your
suggestions and weave a sordid tale for you that is pacy and packed
with belly laughs and it's your job to make a best guess of
‘whodunnit’. £10.
On Thursday 5th
October 7pm, JazzLeeds - Julian Siegel
Quartet are in concert with a new acoustic set of
music that moves freely through varied sound worlds and colours, from
undercurrents of bop to searching ballads and joyful melodies. £18/ £16, 25s and under £9.
Doors 7pm.
South Asian Arts UK returns
on Friday 6th October
7pm with SAMRaga & Sonali Natta
presenting a double bill evening that is a great opportunity to
experience the diversity within Indian classical music. £15 Standard, £7 Concession, £5
Under 30s.
On Saturday 7th
October 4-6pm, look forward to the special ‘Autumn Sessions’ Launch
Concert : Duncan and Nick Hall plus John Carey. Duncan and
Nick Hall (Guitars /Vocals) have performed around Europe, sharing bills
with the likes of Fairport Convention, whilst adding ex-Magna Carta
fiddle player John Carey to their line-up has broadened their sound. Seven Bar. PWYF. Organised by
MEWL Music.
Also on Saturday 7th
October 7.30pm, Miranda Arieh / Duncan
Evans and The Weeping Starlight perform with a gloriously
eccentric alt-pop from Miranda Arieh and intense and cathartic
post-punk melancholia from Duncan Evans and The Weeping Starlight. £10.
JazzLeeds - Liz Fletcher is
the jazz offering on Sunday
8th October, 1.30-4pm. Acclaimed as one of the leading jazz
singers in the UK, Liz appears with a trio of top northern jazz
musicians, Dean Masser on sax, Richard Wetherall on piano and Steve
Berry on bass. £12
/£10. Under 16s free.
And don't forget the Seven Quiz also
on Sunday 8th October
7pm, this and every Sunday. Test your knowledge in a
relaxed atmosphere – a great way to end the weekend with friends. £5 per team entry.Prizes. Seven

Also, this weekend, our Pop-Up - Blake's Bites with
All Day Breakfast burger plus Main Menu of European flavours. Friday 6h October from 5pm,
Saturday 7th October from 12 noon and Sunday 8th October from 12 noon.
