Dear Reader,
|
I love it when children go to their edge – often with a
little parental nudge. Last night, my children and I walked back
from the pub over fields and through woodland well before the
witching hour, but definitely after dusk. I listened to their
constant chattering, as they filtered out the fear I knew they
were feeling with noisy monster-scaring babble. I think it’s why
they also (generally) love horror films:
fear (and the survival of perceived threat) is an important life
lesson. This weekend, perhaps we’ll sit down to watch a few of film’s biggest jump
scares – I’m sure they’ll be fine, and I’ll be the one
hiding behind the sofa. Happy Halloween.
Have a great week.

The Pumpkin

pumpkins around Halloween time – but they are, in fact, edible. Our
