The Women's Prize Writers' Room workshop

With details of the workshop, a new FB group and journal in the latest newsletter:

Over on the Women’s Prize Facebook group we’ve been reading Pat Barker’s The Women of Troy. If, like us, you love an epic tale that challenges the history books, check out our list of spectacular reimaginings of classic myths. These are transportive women’s voices at their finest.

Longer days make us feel like anything is possible. If you need that little extra motivation to write, the Women’s Prize journal is for you.

We're also thrilled to launch a new workshop in our series the Women's Prize Writers' Room. Allow award-winning author Claire Fuller to guide you through the core creative-writing skill of developing characters, taking inspiration from the Women's Prize library.

Save the date.

She Captains Ahoy!

Today marks the publication of Kate Mosse's spectacular new novel The Ghost Ship.

Over on the website Kate tells us all about the she captains and pirate commandeers that have inspired this epic story, and we have five signed copies of the book to give away.

Myths and legends

From Grecian gods to Herculean heroes, mythology continues to offer endless inspiration for contemporary writers.

Discover some of our favourite novels that retell ancient stories, bringing fresh perspectives and modern twists to the legends we all know so well.
