Given that we are ratcheting up record heat with the world’s hottest days ever recorded, and that UK politicians seem to have kicked the environmental urgency to keep to our net zero commitments into the long grass (why, Rishi? Why Keir?), maybe new BBC documentary Earth that starts tomorrow can help turn the political tide, just as Blue Planet did before it. Using cutting edge-technology, the series will recreate the climate event that wiped out the majority of the planet’s species 250 million years ago. This is then contrasted directly with the human-caused atmospheric changes we see today. Essential viewing. And then essential writing to your MP for change. Have a great week.
