Times @ Seven
The weather has turned a bit gloomy, but let's hope it's dry, Thursday 13th July, when Leeds Morris Men
return for their annual outing. Morris Dancing has had a continuous and
evolving existence for many centuries and Leeds Morris Men have been
performing around Leeds since 1950.
Catch them outside Seven at 9pm. Free event.
On Friday 14th July,
7.30pm, look forward to Hard Times Orchestra –
Banquets, Murder & The Moon. This tiny yet powerful band
performs songs celebrating the unique and quirky personalities that we
all are. Featuring the divine Miss W – Jacqui Wicks – on vocals, the
instrumental cornucopia that is Richard Ormrod and the rockin’ Jonny
Flockton on guitars and banjo. £12.
Time for some good time vibes from Summer Saturdays – King
& I on Saturday
15th July 4-6pm. King & I are a soulful jazz band,
playing songs that you’ll know and love. Seven Courtyard. Bar /venue in event of bad
weather. Pay What You Feel. Organised by MEWL Music
On Sunday 16th July
1.30-4pm, JazzLeeds – Zoe Gilby
Quartet. Zoë Gilby is a vocalist and songwriter, making a
stunning impression on the music scene today. Her compelling original
compositions are written with double bassist husband Andy Champion.
Supported by guitarist Mark Williams and drummer John Bradford, they deliver
a commanding mix of musical sophistication and dramatic edge. £12 /£10.
And rounding off the weekend, also on
Sunday 16th July at 7pm, is the last Sunday Quiz before
the summer break. So make the opportunity to stretch those little grey
cells - a great way to end the weekend with friends and family. £5. Prizes.
