Happy Easter

There is nothing better than a long weekend with lots of time to read.
Except perhaps a long weekend with added chocolate...

To help bring the book joy to your bank holiday, we've created a list of spring books guaranteed to put you in a hopeful mood. Crack open the pages and get ready for some egg-cellent fiction (sorry!).

If that wasn't egg-citing enough we have Scarlett Curtis on the podcast this week talking about the books that made her, and we grabbed five minutes with Women's Prize 2022 longlisted author Morowa Yejidé to talk about the inspiration behind her novel Creatures of Passage.

That's it for the egg puns for another year. Have a lovely bank holiday weekend!

Spring books

Inspired by the days getting longer and lighter, we’ve put together a selection of books that embody the hopefulness of spring.

From At Hawthorn Time by Melissa Harrison to Small Island by Andrea Levy, these novels from the Women's Prize library are perfect reads for spring days.. How many have you read?

WIN tickets to The Taxidermist's Daughter

Win a pair of tickets to the stage adaptation of The Taxidermist’s Daughter at Chichester Festival Theatre!

Plus a glass of fizz and ice-creams each, and a signed copy of the original bestselling novel by Kate Mosse.

Five minutes with...

Meet Morowa Yejidé, author of the Women’s Prize 2022 longlisted novel Creatures of Passage.

The Washington Post said ‘every once in a while, a novel is so compelling that it changes your sense of a place. Morowa Yejidé’s Creatures of Passage  is that book.’ We spoke to Morowa about setting her novel in her home town.
