Short
films have started the careers of many of our favorite
screenwriters.
Getting
your screenplay produced, and gaining industry credit, is vital in
the building of your career. It will help to create interest in you
and your work from managers, agents, and production companies.
Going to festivals, where your work is being screened, and
meeting like-minded people will allow you to naturally build
connections that will help pave the way for your future success.
We
started the Short Film Fund in 2016 to create a new way for
screenwriters to get their work off the page and seen by the
industry.
Shore Scripts
never seeks to obtain rights to your script or your
film. Instead, we support emerging talent as co-producer

SHORT FILM FUND

Through the Short Film Fund, we have commissioned
14 films that have screened at some of the top festivals in the
world, including Cannes, Tribeca, BFI London, Austin Film
Festival, and many others.

DOROTHY XIAO JOINS OUR DIRECTORS
ROSTER

Our Directors Roster connects
writers with award-winning directors, some of whom have gone on
to direct shorts produced through the Film Fund. The Top 15
Finalists' scripts will be read by our Directors.
We are honored to announce that award-winning
director, Dorothy
Xiao, has joined the roster. Her short
DIVE BAR is currently playing onboard Alaska Airlines, and her
most recent short AS BITTER AS SWEET is starting its festival
run. She is also a participant in the CBS Leadership Pipeline
Challenge.

a $5,000 Second Prize.
