Sadly this bumper edition will be the last Killer Crime Club newsletter, I will miss it
.
Dear Crime Club
Thank
you to each and every Crime Club Member for being a part of our
community of readers and supporting the work of the Killer Women.
It's been a long, wild ride since Louise Millar and
Mel McGrath had the idea to set up an author collective
of women crime writers and more than five years since the Killer
Women all got together.
Since those first tentative days we've achieved so much. Press
coverage in the UK and internationally. The first crime
fiction and drama festival in London, covered by the BBC no less. A
murder mystery that toured around the country. Trips
to the Shetland Islands and the Channel Islands. And
we've had so much fun supporting one another over gallons of wine.
Killer Women achieved all the things we set out to do and a few
more besides.
The pandemic has changed a great deal, including, for some of us,
the way we work and the things we want to do with our
lives. It has also altered the publishing landscape in a way
that, we now feel, means it's a good time to say a big thank you to
everyone who came along for the ride and bring Killer Women to
a close.
So this is our last (bumper edition) Crime Club newsletter and
before we say goodbye we thought we'd give a last shout out to some
fantastic new and forthcoming books from Killer Women and point you
lovely lot towards some of our individual websites
and newsletters.
Thanks for reading our books, coming
to our events and being part of Crime Club.
