Scott Bennet

After starting comedy in late 2009, Scott is a stand-up comedian and writer who’s star is most definitely on the rise.

His last two shows Leap Year and Relax were nominated for ‘Best Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival and has been named by Chortle as One To Watch for 2018 and 19.

His debut hour stand up show About a Roy was nominated for the highly acclaimed Amused Moose Comedy Award and was selected as one of the top ten shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2015.

He has appeared on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Now Show, The Likely Dads and Elephant in the Room with Sarah Millican, The Summer Festival with Daliso Chaponda, The Comedy Club with Arthur Smith, and Knock Knock with Helen Lederer. He also featured on the BBC One show, Live from The Edinburgh Fringe.

Seeta Wrightson

Seeta Wrightson describes herself as “A 5ft 2in, fast-talking, proud Bradfordian”.

The 33-year-old uses her own life experiences to talk about her dual heritage and finds the funny in navigating the world as a brown, mixed-race woman, who grew up with no money and lots of attitude.

Seeta said: “There are not many Asian mixed race, female comedians around, so yes I talk about it.” “I’ve always been a bit dramatic anyway so it suits me to be on stage talking about everything.”

The Office Party By John Godber

11th - 14th May 2022

Everyone has a different story to tell - or forget, in some cases - about the annual office party. John Godber’s play pays a visit to the offices of Chapman & Howard, a small marketing firm, just in time for the annual bash when the traditional bonhomie quickly gives way to titillations and tears.

From the opening moments, when the first eager few have arrived to kick off the celebrations of clinching a prestigious and lucrative account, we see the growing sense of both professional and personal frustrations among the copywriters, accountants, graphic artists, secretaries and the managing director himself as everyone tries to get into the party spirit, all the time misreading body language and other signals, culminating in a party night they’d all rather forget.

Just who will show their face tomorrow - and more important, who won’t - or will they simply let the photocopier’s record of the evening speak for itself? The Office Party offers a hilariously funny yet poignant exploration of just exactly why people behave as they so often do when faced with self-consciousness - and over-confidence - in such circumstances.
