'Hipster Haunt' @ Seven

We're chuffed that Seven gets a special mention as having impressed Sunday Times writers as an arts venue, in this 'hipster haunt' that is Chapel Allerton - now included in the prestigious guide by The Sunday Times of desirable locations to live in the UK.

Tumbleweed Americana returns on Saturday 24 March, 8.30pm, with fabulous singer-songwriter, Rod Picott. Rod was one of the  acts from our early years  and we’ve been trying to get him back here ever since; his music incorporates elements of Americana, alternative country, and folk. £11 adv /£13 otd. Doors 8pm.

On Sunday 25 March, 1.30-4pm, the JazzLeeds concert is Nadim Teimoori's 'Teduloca'.Teduloca’s music takes influence from the history of jazz, but keep it’s eyes very much on the future, with virtuosic unison lines, heavy swing, gritty grooves and beautiful contemporary harmonies. £10/8 (NUS £5).

The Screen Seven movie on Monday 26 March, 8pm, is Frantz. Set in Germany and France in the immediate aftermath of the First World War, Anna, a bereft young German woman whose fiancé, Frantz, was killed during trench warfare, meets Adrien, a French veteran of the war who shows up mysteriously in her town, placing flowers on Frantz's grave.  Stars: Pierre Niney, Paula Beer, Ernst Stötzner. £6 on the door.

On Tuesday 27 March, 8pm, Café Psychologique - Why So Busy? What Are We Afraid Of? The cafe asks why we become so busy, what might be driving that, and whether doing less might ever be an option. Introduced by Andrew Wilson, Café Psychologiste and hosted by Chris Powell, Group Analyst. £4 otd.
.
And finally, in the run up to Easter, it's Kill For A Seat Comedy on Wednesday 28 March, 8pm, with Ivan Brackenbury & Stephen Bailey. Brackenbury, 'Deliciously enjoyable’ The Guardian & Bailey   “Very skilled and extremely professional entertainer”
★★★★ – Scotsgay…plus special guests and your convivial host. £11 / £9 conc. 7.45pm doors.

Tickets for most events are found at  www.ticketsource.co.uk/sevenleeds/events Where not sold out, tickets are always available on the door.

Every £ spent at Seven helps support high quality arts in a local setting. We look forward to seeing you at Seven very soon.
