This Friday at MediaCityUK it's all
about Sport Relief 2018
Head down
to challenge Shay Given
To help raise more money than ever,
goalkeeping legend Shay Given will be taking part in an endurance challenge
involving 12-hours of non-stop penalties on the Piazza.
Shay needs your support to complete this
challenge and wants people of all ages and abilities to come and take a
penalty against him between 11:00am – 11.00pm.
If you want to book a slot for a large
group to take a penalty against Shay or just want to find out more

Five Live-a-Side
action
Next to Shay’s penalty
area – there will be another 12-hour endurance challenge headed up by
Robbie Savage during which his team of celebrities will take on 36
different teams from the FA People’s Cup throughout the day.
Among those in the starting line-up
include hockey ace Sam Quek, TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, singer JB Gill,
musician Harry Judd, Actor Warren Brown and former England Cricketer
Michael Vaughan. All the action kicks off at 11am

Tryathlon
– battle of the buildings
There is still time to register and
represent your building at this Friday’s MediaCityUK TRYathlon in aid
of Sport Relief 2018.
Challenge yourself to, zipwire across the
Piazza, tackle an
assault course, zorb
across the lawn
and race down a speed tunnel!
Things will kick off at midday with a 10
minute warm up on the Piazza led by a number of famous faces.
Suggested donation - £5 but pay as you’re
able/feel (card payments and cash accepted).

Breaking
Bad themed pop-up launches new concept CARGO
MediaCityUK is set to
re-name its street dining and open air event location, situated between the
Greenhouse and ITV, from the SPLAT to CARGO, with the arrival of a unique
Breaking Bad themed pop up cocktail bar this Spring.
Lovers of the smash series will be able to immerse
themselves in an American RV, by entering the makeshift laboratory to
cook cocktails using molecular mixology techniques.

has this week opened its doors and revealed its new look.
MediaCityUK’s re-vamped
hub to meet, eat, drink and collaborate is now open to ALL and Carla
and her team are looking forward to welcoming you.

Lowry
Outlet to host four day Spring Makers Market
Manchester’s finest
producers will be showcasing their creations at Lowry Outlet’s
four-day Spring Makers Market event over Easter bank holiday
weekend.
Between Friday, 30th March and
Monday, 2nd April, Lowry Outlet’s plaza will be bustling with
friendly stallholders, a pop-up Gin bar serving 20 specialty gins
from the North, a vintage tea room and a helter skelter.
A FREE activity zone for children will also be offering the
chance to plant sunflower seeds to grow at home.
