Your weekly update from MediaCityUK        Sustainability: Leaving a lasting legacy It’s been an inspiring and thought provoking week after the BBC and MediaCityUK joined forces to deliver a programme of interesting events to focus our community’s mind on the issue of sustainability. To kick start the week we teamed up with City of Trees to raise awareness and funds to help make Salford greener through the planting of 500 trees which will be an amazing legacy for our community to give. Sport Relief is back The BBC has this week announced Sport Relief is set to bring ‘SPORT RELIEF 5 LIVE–A–SIDE‘ to the Piazza on Friday, 23 March as part of its huge fundraising effort. 5 LIVE–A–SIDE will be a football match like no other,  lasting an incredible 12 hours, from 11:00am – 23:00 it will be part endurance challenge, part fundraiser and ALL entertainment! A team of celebrities headed up by Robbie Savage will take on 36 different teams from the FA People’s Cup throughout the day. Early signings include Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek and broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher. We’d love our community to get involved. Part of The Landing’s international relations strategy, the visit saw Paul Billington, commercial director at The Landing, invited to India by Sarah Mooney, the Head of UK Science and Innovation Network for India in New Delhi, part of the British High Commission.  BQ Innovation Awards  Congratulations to The Landing’s:  Digidentistry, HEInventions, Keto Software, Miranex, Ostereo, Openshadow Virtualise 360 who have all been recognised in the top 100 BQ Innovation Awards.    Scream excels at BAFTA-winning talent Manchester-based Scream Management are becoming regulars at spotting award-winning talent.
