More Events added for you to book...
We're thrilled to announce our Headline Guest for HLF2018 is....

Sir Patrick Stewart OBE

And we're giving YOU exclusive access to book tickets before anyone else
Our Patron will appear at Huddersfield Town Hall for an exclusive event to talk about how his love of words has lead to his glittering career

Sir Patrick Stewart OBE is one of the world’s most gifted and best loved actors in addition to being one of Yorkshire’s most famous sons. But did you know that he is also a patron of Huddersfield Literature Festival?

As such, we're delighted that he will appear at the Festival this year on Friday 16 March at Huddersfield Town Hall. Sir Patrick will be in conversation with playwright, broadcaster and journalist Nick Ahad, talking about his love of words and how different stories have inspired him and lead to his professional career as an actor.

As well as a distinguished career as a stage actor, including many Shakespearean roles, Sir Patrick is known for his portrayals of Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men series of movies and Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the TV series and movies of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Nick Ahad has written for radio, TV, film and the theatre. He is also a print and broadcast journalist, and has a regular show on BBC Radio Leeds.

Tickets will go on general sale through Huddersfield Town Hall on Friday 12 January, but, as a loyal subscriber to our HLF newsletter, we've arranged for you to access priority booking a day earlier than the general public when you book in person at the box office or via the telephone.
(see below for details)

Sir Patrick Stewart is also Patron of Refuge (www.refuge.org.uk) and a donation of £1 will be made to the charity for every ticket sold.

The event will also have live subtitling by Stagetext (www.stagetext.org) to give deaf, deafened and hard of hearing audiences access to the event.
