Tight Modern 2018 Winners’ Tour 

A national showcase of artists from under-represented backgrounds, including experiences of mental health, disability or isolating social circumstances.

This year's digitally-projected exhibition features fifteen artists-prizewinners and 'wild cards' from last year's Tight Modern competition-a 'best of the best' competition.  Artists chosen by curators and the general public will win prestigious arts development prizes. 
 
 

Creative Future Literary Awards Project Manager Job Vacancy

Meet the Writer: Alan Morrison

This series showcases under-represented writers and artists and how they got their work ‘out there’.

Alan Morrison is the author of several critically acclaimed poetry collections which include A Tapestry of Absent Sitters (Waterloo Press, 2009), Keir Hardie Street (Smokestack Books, 2010), Captive Dragons (Waterloo Press, 2011), Blaze a Vanishing/The Tall Skies (Waterloo Press, 2013), Shadows Waltz Haltingly (Lapwing, 2015) and Tan Raptures (Smokestack Books, 2017). He is editor of The Recusant (www.therecusant.org.uk).
 
 

Developing Confidence: Creative Coaching

Get your work ready for publication or competitions. Learn the art of editing, redrafting and polishing, increasing your chances of success. This workshop will show you how to get work ready for submission via a series of fun exercises.

Art in Brighton is a relaxed and friendly class, open to all abilities. Over the course you will cover the basics of drawing using still life, portrait models and life models as well as exploring a wide range of different artistic processes including drawing, mono printing, collage and acrylic painting.
