Publishers is back! Last year’s inaugural conference
was so popular that we only had seats for half of you. This year we return
with another fascinating and inspirational day, and promise to have enough
chairs for all!
It's been a tough year for the education market. In the US, higher ed has
seen a slump in enrolments, with a knock-on effect for edtech companies big
and small. Closer to home, school budgets have undergone a massive crunch -
one school recently reported that it couldn’t even afford to buy glue
sticks, let alone new software.
But despite the challenging market conditions, edtech - once something of a
buzzword - has proved it is here to stay. Developing markets and
international schools are making up for the transatlantic turbulence, while
the innovative new products continuing to emerge from large publishers and
tiny start-ups alike show that the long-term direction of travel is only
one way.
At this year’s conference we’ll look
at the latest technologies disrupting the education sector, including all
those over-used acronyms (AI, AR, VR), we’ll examine really practical ways
to measure efficacy, crucial to demonstrating the value edtech can bring to
learning outcomes, and we’ll hear pitches from some of the most exciting
start-ups in the sector.
Meanwhile leading
entrepreneurs and researchers, as well as C-level execs from some of the
world’s top education companies, will be sharing their views and
experiences.
