West End shows

With thanks to my fellow blogger West End Wilma, here are details of upcoming West End shows:

Doctor Dolittle The Musical
You’ve never seen anything like it! Doctor Dolittle returns to the stage in Leslie Bricusse’s acclaimed family musical opening at the Churchill Theatre Bromley before embarking on a major UK Tour.

Join the eccentric Doctor, his human companions and his exotic menagerie of animal friends on an extraordinary adventure to find the Giant Pink Sea Snail, that holds the secret of life and making the world a happier place. With help from the Pushmi-Pullyu and his trusty sidekick Polynesia the Parrot, the larger-than-life Doctor Dolittle teaches us not only to talk to the animals but to listen to them as well!

Based on the popular 1967 film with Rex Harrison, this spectacular new stage show stars Mark Williams (Father Brown, The Fast Show, 101 Dalmatians, The Borrowers, Shakespeare in Love and seven of the Harry Potter film series) as Doctor Dolittle. Joining his exciting journey are the hilarious Vicky Entwistle (Coronation Street, Ackley Bridge, Les Misérables) as his trusty side-kick Polynesia, with Brian Capron (Coronation Street, Grange Hill, Where The Heart Is) playing both the vivacious Albert Blossom and the mighty Straight Arrow.

This exciting musical adventure is brought to you from the producers of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Addams Family and promises stunning visual puppetry, all your favourite songs and fun for all the family.

How To Catch A Krampus!

Deck the halls with boughs of horror!

International drag collective Sink the Pink are excited to present a dark and terrifying twist on the traditional Christmas theatre show this winter.

Inspired by London's bawdy and dangerous theatrical past and a love of classic British Horror - think Sweeney Todd meets the Wicker Man (and Black Mirror with better wigs!) - How To Catch A Krampus is a raucous anthology of terrifying stories and spooked-out songs that come climbing out of the winter dark to remind us that not everyone is good for goodness' sake....

Featuring:
Dancing drag queens!
Terrifying live score!
Show-stopping numbers!
Mind bending magic!
Bogey men, blood, and brussel sprouts!

A black-hearted antidote to all things cheery this festive season... Guaranteed to ruin your Christmas and enough to put you off your eggnog!

"Colourful... Bizarre... Trangressive" - The Guardian

“Brilliant, bizarre and completely unmissable...”
