Hiya!
Happy December. You’re probably prepping for the onslaught of tasty
food and booze we call Christmas, but we’re getting in touch to
secure one weekend in your diary for next year: Leeds Indie Food
2019!
It is all rather black and white over here (for now) and we will be
announcing the new colours for #LIF19 and the first events in
January! Which is MEGA but we want you to remember the dates -
next
year’s Leeds Indie Food will happen 9th-27th May.
Event submissions are open for the venues, so we look forward to
seeing all of those exciting supper clubs, pop-ups and collab
ideas flooding into our mailbox. Let the drooling commence...

Are you an
indie Patron?
We are proud to report a new way to get involved with the amazing
indie food scene; Leeds
Indie Food Patrons. We will reveal the
brand as soon as we can!
An extension of the LIF Passport, LIF Patrons aims to make Leeds
Indie Food about more than just the amazing two-and-a-bit weeks
each year. That collaborative spirit lives on in Leeds beyond the
festival, and we wanted a way for both foodies and food providers
to tap into it.
This is an annual Membership, running from January to December.
It’ll see you get: the LIF Passport, access to new venue openings
and indie food chats throughout the year, a Patron pin badge, free
beer at #EatNorth and our other events - but it also goes into a
pot to help all those aspiring local indies who are in start-up
mode. We want even more, even better food on our Leeds indie scene,
and sometimes providers need an initial leg-up. You can be their
Patron.

Passports!
For 2019, if you don't fancy becoming a Patron, we are still
offering you the chance to purchase a #LIF19 passport. You can
enjoy priority access to events, discounted tickets and
an even bigger collaboration menu for you to go around and
collect stamps with. This is valid during the festival dates. This
year, the price will be £15 (includes delivery, our chosen charity
donation and some exclusive events).

Look beyond LIF - Chow Down and #EatNorth
2018 was a BIG year for us, and an amazing foodie year for
Yorkshire, with Chow Down festival at Halifax’s Piece Hall being a
real jewel in the crown. This monthly market ran through the
summer, bringing indie street food, craft ale, cocktails, live
music and activities to Halifax, all curated by Leeds Indie Food.
An astounding 120,000 people came down to enjoy those sunny summer
days with us, proving that LIF is not just for May!
Leeds
Indie Food is prepping to fly the flag for Leeds’ amazing
independents once again in May 2019, and we’re planning to make it
bigger and better than ever before, with more citywide
collaborations and specials to sink your chops into, as well as
some truly once-in-a-lifetime events.
Keep an eye on our newsletters for all the info in the run-up to
the main event in May, plus get hints on those unique and
sought-after events, and be first in the know for early bird ticket
sales.
