He comes to Ilkley to discuss his writing career as well as Hear Me Out, his recently released book exploring his love of music from Beethoven and Mahler to Philip Glass and John Adams.

We are very excited to confirm that Words in the City will be returning in May 2018, with a new home right in the centre of Leeds!

Words in the City is our poetry and spoken word weekend bringing together a diverse, exciting collection of voices to celebrate the magic and power of poetry. Along with leading poets and spoken word performers there will be masterclasses and workshops, free poetry inspired activities for children and families and lots more.
