Creative Kirklees
Newsletter 3 May 2022
|
It
certainly doesn’t feel like a week ago since we were writing our last
newsletter, but here we are again with lots more creative offerings for
you!
There are
some amazing events taking place over the next two weeks in Dewsbury as
part of INTERWOVEN
and many are free - there are pop-up exhibitions, talks and workshops -
you just need to book your place.
Holmfirth Festival of
Folk is
coming up at the weekend (Fri 6 May - Sun 8 May). As usual
they have a fabulous line up of events and in addition there are folk
clubs, workshops, dance and music, street theatre, circus skills, spoken
word session and probably even more!
It’s a
busy week at the Lawrence Batley Theatre
who have a number of shows taking place and the &Piano
Festival in Slaithwaite have some lovely events
coming up this weekend. Also, there will be lots of activity with
artists and organisations at Temporary
Contemporary in the Piazza and Queensgate Market
during May.
The Huddersfield
University Drama Festival 2022 begins on Tuesday 10
May and runs for four days until Friday 13 May – and is crammed with
performances for just £3 per person (£1.50 concessions)!
Hope you
enjoy our newsletter and that you find something that tempts
you to get creative. Please don't forget to keep checking our website for
more activities, opportunities and news!
