Creative Kirklees newsletter

With details of upcoming creative events in Kirklees:

Creative Kirklees Newsletter 10 May 2022

Hello everyone, here's your weekly update of exciting, creative activities taking place in the area!  Hope you see something that takes your fancy as you scroll down.   Just to highlight a couple of things:

The Tour De Moon convoy is doing a nation-wide tour and has chosen Huddersfield as its only Yorkshire stop off.  This exciting free event, aimed at 18-25 year olds, is coming to St George’s Square on the evening of Wednesday 18th May.  This spectacular convoy of vehicles and floats will surprise, spark and stimulate awareness of Tour de Moon and the magic that surrounds it.

Holmfirth Arts Festival are spreading their performances and creative events between April and October this year and are currently celebrating the local landscape with an exhibition showing at the Holmfirth Co-op Coffee Shop.  They’re also having an accessible walk with activities along the nature trail in Honley this Saturday (14 May) and are hosting the first night of a national tour of the play ‘These Hills Are Ours’ the Saturday after (21 May).

Remember The Huddersfield University Drama Festival 2022 begins today (10 May) and runs until Friday (13 May), with a fab selection of plays at just £3 per person this is not to be missed and there are still some events at the &Piano Festival and Interwoven taking place.

With the Platinum Jubilee weekend coming up, please remember to keep checking our websitefacebook and twitter for more events as they are added to the site.

Have a good week everyone.
