Hayley's sunny, beloved dad was
the nation's favourite weatherman. He could
make a typhoon sound like a tickle. Hayley is
now following in his footsteps, but when the
pressure drops and dark clouds gather, Hayley
is melting faster than a lonely snowflake. She's
seen the future's forecast, but will anyone
listen?

Bunnington WI is a bit
down-at-heel. Dwindling membership means they
can barely afford the hall, let alone a decent
speaker. So when a PR guru becomes a member,
the women are glad of new blood.
Initially.
Above all else, like the WI
itself, Raising Agents is a story of
friendship.

Blood Harmony, which means the unique and beautiful sound
created when siblings sing together, shares the story of a
fractured trio of sisters, pulled back together with news
that turns their worlds upside down. Highly visual and
musically charged, it features soaring songs by indie-folk
trio The Staves combined with dynamic movement and bold new
writing in a compelling and intimate reflection of grief
and the invisible bonds within families.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ "A celebration of what love
and humanity can overcome" - Yorkshire Post
|
We wanted to let you know that the winner of
'Best Production 2021' at the Asian Media Awards, Full English, is
coming to our main stage on Thu 19 May! After a sell out
tour in 2021, this is your chance to see this thrillingly
honest story rooted in Bradford.
Follow Natalie's journey as she pieces
together the fragments of her own mixed race identity
through understanding the courage of her Nan - a
reggae-dancing Bradford lass whose man of her dreams just
happened to be from Pakistan.
|
From an award-winning northern creative
team, including local writer Mick Martin (Once Upon a
Time in Wigan), Full English is a
tribute to the strength of women. Those who married
Pakistani men and brought up mixed race children. Those who
struggled with their identity. Those whom never really
belonged to any particular culture or race. Those who
constantly had to stand up against racists. Those who just
didn't care.
Because let's face it, who is full English
anyway?
|
What emerges from the poignant and funny
show is a love letter, one for young people who loved
across the boundaries, Natalie's Nan, Bradford and the
courage of women everywhere facing prejudice.

Thu 19 May at 7.30pm

Blood Harmony shares the story of a fractured trio of
sisters, pulled back together with news that turns their
worlds upside down. Tensions from the past and worries
about the future leave them feeling paralysed. When it
feels like your world has come to a stop, how do you find a
way to keep moving forward?
Music by The Staves will be woven through
the show, sung live by the talented cast. The band have
also created an original song exclusively for this unique
production.
