There are just
two weeks left to enter our 2022 Writers' Award competition,
the UK's only national writing competition for ALL underrepresented
writers.
We're looking for:
- Poetry: maximum
50 lines
- Fiction: maximum
2,000 words
The theme this
year is 'How
It Started'. It's a creative prompt, not a
requirement, so send us your best work!
There will be twelve award winners; six poets
and six
fiction writers who will receive:
Our 2022 judges are the
award-winning author of fifteen novels, Dorothy Koomson; award-winning
poet, playwright, author, and editor Joelle Taylor; Aki Schilz
of The Literary Consultancy; Sarala
Estruch of Poetry School.
You have until
Sunday 22 May 2022 to
enter your work either online, by email, or by post.
Before you apply, it’s really important that you check our rules and that you’re eligible. We aim to make
it as easy as possible to submit work.
The best way to get a sense of what we’re looking for is by
looking at previous winners’ work. You can do this by purchasing our previous anthologies here.
If you need some tips or advice on perfecting your craft, check
out some of our handy resources here and
you might find our Pathway Guide for Writers helpful
too.
We look forward to reading your entries.
