Hey New Yorkers,
This season is bringing in lots of new Pop-Up exhibits! The Broken Windows Pop Up is in NYC, bringing attention toward social rifts between the police department and lower income communities. 🎟🏙🕊
Rooted in culinary tradition, the NYC neighborhoods of Flushing, Queens, and Chinatown, are always serving up Congee through the day. The breakfast meal is a staple that can be turned savory or sweet, and now you can try it at home with this authentic recipe🍲👀😋
Sometimes absence gives us the precious time and perspective we need to see everything more clearly, and that's what takes place in, "The City Born Great". Author N.K Jemisin gives audiences suspense and mystery from the struggles of life as a homeless individual on New York's streets. 👀📚🏙
It's time to relax and smile, this feel-good exhibit at the MET is showcasing the art of visionaries from grades Pre-K through to twelfth grade. The creativity and inspiration bundled up in "The Future Of New York" is refreshing and a must-see. 🎨🗽😍
It's hard to decide where to shop with so many farmer's markets across the city. There are some in every borough and they each showcase great produce at the prime of their harvest, so how can you choose? Maybe you don't have to! Visit all of the green markets in our farmers market round-up💐🥖🥕

There is an easy way to find the ripest fruits, veggies vibrant in color and nutrients, soft artisan bread, fresh milk, delicious pastries, handcrafted cheese, and farm-fresh eggs. Take the struggle out of your grocery shopping and visit one of these farmer's markets!
Everything you find from the vast array of vendors will be fresh, full of flavor and wholesome!  There are tons of locations, operating at different hours during all days of the week. So, check out the list and find one in your borough.
Bacon And Beer!
Sponsored by:

Play some games and drink some beer at the Bacon and Beer Classic NYC. This Flushing Meadows Biergarten has options for every taste bud — beer snob, or not! Whether you prefer cider or a strong stout, this is one beer and food fest you shouldn't skip out on!
Escaping Reality
Every city feels as if it is an entity in and of itself, a being created by the millions of lives that inhabit it now and have in the past. In this short story written by Jemisin, we follow a young black homeless man just trying to survive in NYC.
An older man named Paulo helps him from time to time, buying him coffee and sandwiches in exchange for someone to listen to his rants. One morning, Paulo’s rant goes into the inner workings of the city, how it breathes and is ready for someone to help it live.
Our main character is wary of the breathing sounds he hears but assumes being homeless for so long has warped his mind. The story begins to rapidly pick up as our narrator is forced to run from both the NYPD and something much more sinister.
Languedoc Wine Time
Sponsored by:

Say goodbye to your boxed vino and hello to some fancy French wine that won’t break the bank.
This fall, Languedoc wines will be taking over New York City and you definitely don’t want to miss out on the chance to try some of these glorious grapes.
Throughout the months of September and October, L’Aventure Languedoc will be celebrating the most underrated wine region in France by offering special events, tastings and promotions on Languedoc wines at various retailers and restaurants across the Big Apple.
Rising Flow
If you haven’t been listening to Sheck Wes, then you haven’t been on the latest hype train. A former model out of Harlem, his first music video for his song “Live SheckWes Die SheckWes” was an instant hit.

He then followed it up with one of the biggest rap songs in recent months, “Mo Bamba." Proving that he means business, Sheck Wes is now signed to both Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music and Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack. Crazy flows and a wild personality have Sheck Wes rising quickly to the top.
The Future Of NYC
The Future of New York is an annual show, hosted by the Met that displays artwork from 123 different students from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. This includes students from all five boroughs and School District 75, a district serving children with disabilities.
The talent among the students is immense and definitely provides comfort in knowing that these future artists are being taught well in our public school system. On display at the Met’s Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education, this show is a bright spot for the future of New York City.
