Free Art Drop In

Our art workshop in Brighton is a relaxed and friendly class, open to all abilities. Over the course you will cover the basics of drawing using still life, portrait models and life models as well as exploring a wide range of different artistic processes including drawing, mono printing, collage and acrylic painting.  Starting Monday 8th October 4:00 - 6:00 pm at New England House.

Creative Future Peer Support Art Group

The Creative Future Peer Support Art Group seeks new members for its self-run, biweekly sessions in Brighton. Mslexia Women’s Fiction Awards

With categories at Novel, Novella, Short Story, Poetry and Flash length: the Mslexia Women's Fiction Awards has options for every type of Woman Writer!
You've got until 1 October to finish that work in progress or polish that completed manuscript.
Of all the women shortlisted in their novel competitions:
·       50% had their shortlisted books published.
·       80% signed with literary agents.
·       100% said being shortlisted changed their writing career.

Emma Robdale on Disability Arts Online: Poetry, Film and Asperger’s


Believing that his passion to write comes intrinsically from his Asperger’s a lot of his poetry has been integrated into the narrative of film. Anthony Fairweather spoke to CFLA17 winner, Emma Robdale over at Disability Arts Online.


Call for insect poems

The Emma Press has launched a call for poems about insects for a new children’s poetry anthology to be edited by Fran Long and Dr Isabel Galleymore. Writers are invited to submit up to three poems by Friday 5th October 2018.
