Kirkgate's regeneration
To say that Kirkgate has been through a few ups and downs is something of an understatement. It's the oldest street in Leeds and it had a huge role to play in the Industrial Revolution, but you'd never know from looking at it now. So what happened and is there hope on the horizon?

The Climate Innovation District
Believe it or not, you'll find one of the most eco-friendly developments in the UK, right here in Leeds. The Climate Innovation District is at the cutting edge of sustainability technology, and as the first residents prepare to move in, the city is taking its first step towards becoming a zero-carbon city.

Crafthouse
Crafthouse has something special lined up for you this summer – Executive Head Chef Lee Murdoch has created a special 5-course tasting menu and you can try it for just £30. This is more than just dinner, it's a unique foodie experience, that simply mustn't be missed. We'll even throw in a glass of fizz.

The best walks in Leeds
From waterfront jaunts to forest adventures and mammoth expeditions through the Leeds countryside, these are the best walks the city has to offer. So if you fancy a stroll this weekend, why not start working your way through this list?

Swimming

Ballet
Northern Ballet has brought together three of the most exciting new choreographers in the UK for one night of incredible ballet – and you can win tickets with dinner at Kendells Bistro before the show.

TRIB3
It's an intense bootcamp that combines interval, resistance and functional training to get results fast – and we're giving you the chance to try it for yourself with 6 sessions for       just £30. Get 'em while you can.

Picnics

Gluten-free
Finding tasty gluten-free food can be tricky, but we've made it easy. How? By rounding up the best places to go, from local independents to bakeries and health food stores. So next time you want to eat out in Leeds, check out our handy guide.

Leeds Pub Piano Competition
You can look forward to two nights of live music this September as the Leeds Pub Piano Competition returns from a 22 year break. Compete for the title or enjoy the show – the choice is yours.

Veggie Food
It's not just meat-eaters that can fill their bellies with scrumptious food – and this list proves it. From faux-fish butties to falafel wraps and halloumi souvlaki, this veggie food is good enough to convert the most ravenous of carnivores. Check it out.

Greetings New York,
We know you guys are hungry for happenings in the city and we’ve got just the thing to satisfy your appetite. Reservations for NYC's bi-annual Restaurant Week are upon us so do your stomach a favor and make plans to hit up any one of the 386 eateries participating in this year’s foodie festivities, starting July 23rd through August 17th. 👅🍽🍝
Living in New York is tough. You’ve probably been cheated, broken, and disappointed by the public transportation system alone. But fear not because the   MTA just rolled out a new app that’s giving commuters hope for more pleasant rides. It promises more user-friendly, real-time updates on all trains, subways, and buses – now that’s a relationship we’re ready for. Download it today and see for yourself! 🚆🚕🚆
And if you prefer to travel by foot, we’ve got just the thing for you. Check out these gorgeous hiking sites just outside the city that will have you wanting to spend all your weekends around flowing waterfalls and forest trails. 🏃🏼‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️🌳
Looking to soak up some sun in the city AND get your drink on? We’ve got you covered on the best parks to hit up and how to enjoy some nice *refreshments* while you’re spread on a picnic blanket. 🥂😏👅
You may not have heard of Desmond Napoles yet, but that’s about to change. Meet the 10-year-old who’s vogueing his way to stardom with his quirky personality and fierce ambitions. 👑😻🙌🏼
Peace out NY and remember to stay cool. 😎🚕✨
Parks & Rec
https://spoilednyc.com/article-images/cropped/1531186849140.gif
Take a break from hanging with your AC and visit one of these parks for some fresh air – well as fresh as NYC air can be.

We know it’s been sizzling and the best way to ride this heat wave is with a drink in hand.

Grab your fave beverage, grab some friends and head on over to one of these spots for a relaxing afternoon basking in the sun. Try Brooklyn Bridge Park for a chill, hipster vibe or Washington Square Park to kick it like a collegiate.

Don’t miss out on these places to get your drink on once the clock strikes 5 – or maybe sooner ;)

Trainspotting
https://spoilednyc.com/article-images/cropped/1531187326551.gif
Commuters rejoice! The MTA has just released a new transportation app that is aiming to relieve some of the stress of traveling around the city.
MYmta aims to give app users real-time updates on arrivals and service statuses on trains, buses, and subways in a user-friendly fashion.
Replacing the existing service, Subway Time, the MYmta app is part of the MTA’s mission to fix some of the key issues that the city’s public transportation faces and hopes to also include updates on the city’s bridges and tunnels in the near future.
So, to all you spirit-broken commuters, hope may lie at the end of the tunnel. The test version of MYmta is currently available for Apple and Android devices.

The Queens food scene has been on the up and up over the past few years now and the borough shows no signs of stopping now. Check out these eateries which have been dubbed “the hottest restaurants in Queens, right now,” and see (or better yet, taste) for yourself whether they deserve the crown.
You’ll definitely catch us at the Mikkeller Brewery, where you’ll be able to enjoy a mish-mash of grub including cheesesteaks, kale salad, or bulgogi empanadas along with your pints.
Plus, our stomachs are growling over the spicy pork belly and squid available at O2 Korean BBQ. If you’re still not hungry yet, we bet you’ll be by the time you get there.
