Parks & Rec
Take a break from
hanging with your AC and visit one of these parks for some fresh air – well
as fresh as NYC air can be.
We know it’s been sizzling and the best way to ride this heat wave is with a drink in hand. Grab your fave beverage, grab some friends and head on over to one of these spots for a relaxing afternoon basking in the sun. Try Brooklyn Bridge Park for a chill, hipster vibe or Washington Square Park to kick it like a collegiate. Don’t miss out on these places to get your drink on once the clock strikes 5 – or maybe sooner ;) |

Trainspotting
Commuters rejoice!
The MTA has just released a new transportation app that is aiming to relieve
some of the stress of traveling around the city.
MYmta aims to give
app users real-time updates on arrivals and service statuses on trains,
buses, and subways in a user-friendly fashion.
Replacing the
existing service, Subway Time, the MYmta app is part of the MTA’s mission to
fix some of the key issues that the city’s public transportation faces and
hopes to also include updates on the city’s bridges and tunnels in the near
future.
So, to all you
spirit-broken commuters, hope may lie at the end of the tunnel. The test
version of MYmta is currently available for Apple and Android devices.

you’ve been walking on sunshine lately, it’s not just you! Manhattanhenge is
returning for its second leg this week.
If you’ve never
heard of Manhattanhenge before, we’re about to shed some light on the

Prime spots for the
best Insta-worthy pics include Tudor City Place near the United Nations
building as well as the overpass near Grand Central Terminal on Park Ave
above 42nd Street. If you’re able to scrap up any luck on the unluckiest day
of the year, you’ll be able to snap a pic among the mobs of tourists and
other New Yorker gawking at the dreamy sky.
