New Writing North newsletter sharing details on Read Regional:
Read Regional 2018: The
road so far
Read
Regional is coming to the end of another successful year. Some
of our authors have already planted their feet for good on home turf,
while others are tying up the last of their events on the road. We've
had fantastic feedback on this year's authors, so if you haven't
already caught an event or two near you, scroll down for our final events
in June and July.
All 12 of our Read
Regional 2018 titles are still available to borrow from libraries across the North, so if you
haven't yet you can easily pick up one to read today. Find out more
about each of the titles on our
website.
With Read Regional 2018 drawing to a close, catch up on what our authors have
been up to so far:
|
Guy
Mankowski (An
Honest Deceit) tells us about the author event experience,
measuring nervous expectation against reality.
|
|
|
Polly Atkin (Basic Nest Architecture)
has been touring some unusual literary landmarks while she's been on
the road, finding fellow poet Antony Dunn in a rather unexpected
spot.
|
|
Sarah Dunnakey (The Companion) has
been cementing her love of libraries, finding stories in every nook of
the North.
|
|
|
Richard
Smyth (A
Sweet, Wild Note) has taken to nature for his Read
Regional tour, with ventures in the woodland looking for birdsong.
|
|
And a special thank
you...
We would also like to say a special thank you to all of the
library staff involved in Read Regional 2018 for
welcoming the Read Regional authors into their reading communities, their
dedication and ongoing enthusiasm for the project.
