New arrival lands at the National Museum
of Flight

This week we welcomed the arrival of a fantastic RAF Red Arrows Hawk T.1A
to the National Museum of Flight – the very same aircraft that led
the Red Arrows flight with Concorde over the opening of the Scottish
Parliament in 1999.
Our Hawk is decorated in the livery of the iconic Red Arrows who are
known and loved all around the world for their incredible formation
flying and breathtaking aerial displays. Visit the Hawk in the Concorde
hangar.

Tim Peake's Soyuz spacecraft arrives
at the National Museum of Scotland on Thursday 17 May. As the only
Scottish venue on the spacecraft's tour, this is an unmissable chance
to see the capsule that returned Tim Peake to Earth following his six
months on the International Space Station.
Plus, put yourself in the pilot's seat and leap into an
out-of-this-world virtual reality adventure with Space Descent VR.

The Sunday Sketch

Illustrator and artist Cécile Simonis will explore composition and

in a dynamic composition.

Spotlight On: Fashion & Style

designer and maker of a new loan, will also join the discussion.
