All things at The London Book Fair ...

Today we want to talk to you all about training courses, because next month we are running not one but TWO! How exciting.

There are only three spots left on each course so you need to snap them up fast if you want to join us. And let’s face it… you do.
Understanding Ebooks | 25th April 2018 | St Martin's Lane

Do you want to be an ebook expert? Do you want to thoroughly understand the market, plus have the practical skills to code your own ebooks? Join industry expert Ken Jones for this two-part one-day course.

In the morning session Ken will present an overview of the ebook market today, giving you insights into which formats work on which devices; and making sure you are up-to-speed on the latest debates around DRM. The afternoon session will be a hands-on course for coding ebooks.
Understanding InDesign | 26th April 2018 | St Martin's Lane

Adobe InDesign is the industry standard page layout application for the publishing industry. The vast majority of illustrated and typeset books and magazines are produced with this brilliant tool. Brush up on your InDesign skills and learn how to build a book from scratch.
Course Leader: Ken Jones

Ken is a publishing software expert with over ten years experience as Technical Production Manager, software trainer and developer at Penguin Group UK. He is the mastermind behind Circular Software, which offers workflow advice, software tools and training to improve how publishers produce their illustrated print and digital books.

BookMachine members get £25 off each course

You are sure to come away inspired and with the kind of knowledge your colleagues will be jealous of. We can’t wait to see some of you there.

All things at The London Book Fair ...
BookMachine London with TLS
Hello publishing people,

Today we want to talk all things London Book Fair because, after all, it’s one of the biggest weeks in the publishing year and we’re all quietly counting down to it…

As usual there’s loads going on and it’s sometimes hard to prioritise your diary. That’s why we want to make sure you know about the events we’re running and why they’re going to be great.
JUST THREE WEEKS TO GO!

First up! We’re delighted to be working with London Book Fair and able to invite you to the exclusive event of the week: The LBF Global Gathering. Join us on Wednesday 11th April at Soho House, Dean Street, for an evening of winding down, drinks and a chance to meet new publishing friends from around the globe.

Tickets cost £15 and this includes a drink on arrival.
Once again we are putting on our annual BookMachine meet up at the newly named Buzz bar. Arrive at 4.30pm and the first 50 people can grab a drinks voucher… and it’s all completely free! Every year we organise this event and every year we meet fascinating people and watch other people make new contacts in the industry. It’s the perfect chance to have a relaxed chat over a drink.
If you are interested in hiring BookMachine Works or just having a casual conversation about the PR and marketing services we offer, we’re around for meetings. Click here to get in touch.

BookMachine members get free entry into The London Book Fair, so if you haven’t already joined, why not now? It’s perfect timing ahead of the fair.
