April, 8pm with Tom Ridout's 'No
Excuses'. This 13 piece ensemble includes some of the
brightest young jazz musicians on the London jazz scene at the moment
such as Alexandra Ridout, winner of the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the
year 2017. £16

On Friday 20 April
8.30pm, Tumbleweed Americana
presents Lilly Hiatt. Trinity Lane, her latest album, is a
set of honest words from an album of personal truths. The guitar riffs
are as Seattle as they are southern; the topics are modern as they are
built on the past. £11

On Sunday 22 April,
1.30-4pm, the first of two JazzLeeds –College
Collection concerts. An opportunity to hear some of the best
students from the current crop of the Leeds College of Music jazz
degree final year. Hear the jazz stars of tomorrow - today, £7 /£5 conc.
The Screen Seven movie on Monday
23 April, 8pm, is tough war movie, Land Of Mine.
World War II was over, but the inexperienced German youths who were
captured by the Allies and forced to remain behind, were recruited by
the Danes to find and defuse 45,000 of the 1.5 million land mines the
Germans had planted on the coast of Denmark. With subtitles. £6 on the door.
On Tuesday 24 April,
8pm the Café Psychologique
topic is Jazz: The Self, the Group,
Society and Jazz. As well as provoking powerfully differing
opinions there is an opportunity to discuss the role jazz plays in
providing a sense of identity and what it can do to put people in touch
with themselves and each other.

This month's Kill For A Seat Comedy
on Wednesday 25 April,
8pm, presents Sean Collins, AS Seen on & Amy Gledhill,
"Silly, vivacious and very funny" Richard Herring ...plus

On Thursday 26 April,
7.30pm, look out for Ricardo Curbelo – Rhythms
from Latin America. Innovative musician, composer and poet,
Ricardo Curbelo takes audiences on a rhythmic, colourful journey
through different Latin American countries on harp, cuatro, maracas and

27 April, 7.30pm is 'What We Leave Behind'.
Have you ever pictured your own funeral? Erin has. She’s pictured yours
too. In her debut spoken word show, poet and performer Erin Bolens
explores our relationship with legacy and loss using wit, warmth and
