This free, drop‑in family event brings a cheerful touch of spring to the museum and its surroundings.
- Easter Eggstravaganza at Shipley Glen Tramway (Friday, 3 April - Monday, 6 April | 12pm - 4pm) at Shipley Glen Tramway - Shipley Glen Tramway is hosting its Easter Eggstravaganza, packed with family‑friendly activities throughout the day. Children can count the chicks and bunnies hidden along the line, enjoy Easter bunny colouring, and even try their hand at digging for eggs as part of the seasonal fun.
- Heritage Craft Workshop: Ukrainian Pysanky Eggs (Saturday, 4 April | 11am - 4pm) at Bradford Industrial Museum - Pysanky is a unique technique of multi-layered dyeing using wax, similar to batik, but created on the three-dimensional surface of an egg. This tradition is over a thousand years old and dates back to pre-Christian times as a celebration of spring. In this workshop you will discover the ancient tools, master the wax-resist technique and experience the bog reveal of the masterpiece you have created.
- Easter Egg Hunt (Monday, 6 April | 11am - 1pm) at Harold Park - Friends of Harold Park are hosting a welcoming, family‑friendly Easter Hunt with free entry for all visitors. The event features a bonnet parade competition judged at noon, along with a BBQ, a tea room, donkey rides, and a selection of traditional game stalls.
Jim Moir: Neo Fauna Saturday, 28 March - Monday, 31 August (10am - 4pm) at Cartwright Hall FREE Step into the imaginative world of Jim Moir, the celebrated British artist, AKA Vic Reeves. His new collection bursts with colour, personality and affection for British wildlife. Events at Bradford Markets Fantastic events taking place at Bradford Markets: - Threads of Belonging (Until Saturday, 9 May) at Keighley Market - Come and see the community led tapestry artwork called ‘Threads of Belonging’, created in collaboration with local residents and Keighley Creative, at Keighley Market.
- Cactusville (Friday, 27 March | 6pm - 8pm) at Darley Street Market - Cactusville are a gypsy‑jazz quartet specialising in the mellow side of the style pioneered by Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt. Their set features ballads, lesser‑known Latin tunes, and lively swing numbers perfect for dancing.
- Ukranian Cultural Festival (Saturday, 28 March | 12pm - 3pm) at Airedale Shopping Centre - The Ukrainian community in Keighley warmly invites everyone to the Ukrainian Cultural Festival. This will be the third annual festival, and this year it will take place at Airedale Shopping Centre. Visitors can enjoy live music from Ukrainian performers, including our special guest – the Bradford-based Dibrova Male Choir. As always, there will be delicious Ukrainian food, including one of the most famous dishes of Ukrainian cuisine – varenyky (traditional dumplings), as well as hot drinks and homemade pastries.
- Dom (No Hands) (Saturday, 28 March | 5pm - 7pm) at Darley Street Market - Mama Hoodoo’s Music brings an eclectic mix of alt, pop and indie to Darley Street, adding a vibrant soundtrack to an evening of great food and drinks. A serial collaborator and No Hands instigator, Mama Hoodoo’s sets the tone while visitors explore the stalls and soak up the atmosphere.

The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood was founded in London in 1848 by artists Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais and William Holman Hunt. The group set out to challenge the dominant artistic conventions of their time. Rejecting the teachings of the Royal Academy and the infl uence of artists such as Raphael, they instead looked to earlier traditions of painting for inspiration. Their work is known for its intense details, bright colours, and depictions of nature, often using real people as models rather than idealised classical figures. Morris & Co. Founded by Victorian artist William Morris, the company—alongside figures such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones and Ford Madox Brown—produced stunning stained glass, with early examples displayed in four locations within the Cathedral. City Centre Adventure: Pirates, Princesses and Peter Pan! Wednesday, 8 April (11am - 3pm) in Bradford City Centre FREE Bradford BID invites families to enjoy a magical city‑centre adventure this Easter with Pirates, Princesses and Peter Pan. The day features live performances, storytelling, meet‑and‑greets and interactive games across the city centre. Children are encouraged to dress as their favourite pirate, princess or Neverland character. A highlight of the event is a treasure hunt through local businesses.
