Hi

We've got a great week ahead of us, starting with some Rhythm and Blues from Harry Orme and concluding with the spiritual Jazz sounds of The Shadow Quartet.

Carry on reading for news, band line-up, this week's cost price, and the Domino winner.

Much Love
The Domino Team

NEWS

A helping hand.

On Saturday 28 September, Paulette Morris and Chris Campbell returned home from a long overdue holiday to find their street full of emergency services tackling a huge blaze that had ripped through their family home.
Thankfully nobody was in the house at the time of the fire but the fire destroyed most of their possessions including their home studio and instruments.

Paulette and Chris are valued regular performers at the Domino with their band Mojah who are one of our most loved acts.

It’s everyone's worst nightmare to have your home and all its contents destroyed.
They are heartbroken.
This has left a family with nothing but a few sentimental items that they managed to salvage from the house.

Their daughter has set up a GoFundMe, please click on the link below, any donations no matter how big or small are graciously received and will go a long way in helping them rebuild their home and get back on their feet.

Much Love
The Domino Team.

The Domino Big Fat Quiz

Our next Domino Big Fat Quiz is on November 19th

We know you’ll be blown away by the insane talents of Jacob and his band as they play some of your favorite pop songs in ways you’ve never heard, can you spot the Kanye West song played in the style of Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff? Will you recognise some rock bangers when they only sing every other word?

With a whole bunch of fun and creative rounds, this is a night you won't forget and is head and shoulders above what you think a music quiz could be.

This is not your average pub quiz, this is how The Domino does a quiz.

BREAK-EVEN

Fanny Fougerat Cedre Blanc Extra Old

Fanny Fougerat is a fourth generation distiller. Her family had been selling to the big houses that dominate Cognac, but she has decided to redefine the terms. The current release of Cedre Blanc is from 2 barrels only. The Iris Poivre from 12 barrels and the Petit Cigue from 15 barrels, but every barrel is bottled on its own; each release has variation based on the life of each barrel. These are truly unique eaux-de-vies. Fanny Fougerat is to Cognac what Reisetbauer is to Gin. What Grower Producer is to Champagne.
Nose: Initial scents offer sweet notes of delectable dark fruits. Beneath the surface, an oak essence lingers as a result of its time spent aging in old oak.
Palate: Old Cognac essence is offered through notes of old oak furniture, leather and rolling tobacco. Beautifully complemented with a sweet essence of fresh orchard fruits and dark chocolate.

Usual price per shot £18:50
Our Price per shot £4.25

A new play “packed with love, loss, wit, triumph and tragedy” (North West End) based on the man behind the iconic Tube map! Find out more about the creative mind behind the map and how it came to life.

For many of us, the London Underground is purely functional. But to Harry Beck, this web of geography became an obsession – a fascination with the creation of the perfect Tube map.

How did Beck create the iconic diagrammatic diagram of today, and at what cost? To understand you need to meet Harry, and his wife Nora.

Take a glimpse inside a journey of passion, a wife’s dedication and the living breathing network of the tunnels and train tracks in our capital. Embrace your inner transport enthusiast through a mash up of real-life accounts, uncovered anecdotes and seemingly unconnected facts (…with a peppering of fictitious characters) in this “A long-overdue tribute to a neglected hero” (The Arts Desk).

Join The Natural Theatre Company as they take you on a whimsical whirlwind of fact through the worlds of design, transport, modern history…and an addiction to getting it right in this brand-new production.

Clockschool Theatre Company presents
The Elephant In The Room

by Peter Hamilton
Directed by Ross McGregor

On a tour of India, a young Englishman named Ashley Davenport is visited by Yama, King of Death and the Underworld. This encounter prompts him to renounce all his worldly wealth and decide to set out on a Spiritual Path. There’s only one problem. He has absolutely no idea how to do it. And so Ashley takes the unusual step of checking himself into the exclusive Gethsemane Garden Village Retirement Home, and declares to the elderly residents, to their puzzled dismay, that he is done with this Life.

But unfortunately for Ashley, this Life is not quite done with him.
The Elephant In The Room is the latest play from acclaimed writer Peter Hamilton. A masterfully bittersweet tragi-comedy about embracing life’s possibilities and finding love in unexpected places.

Tickets:  £18 / £12
