This, as every week, Seven has some great live music in its offering,
starting tonight, Wednesday
2nd October, 6-7.15pm, with Rush Hour Jazz – Ben Powling. Since
graduating from Leeds Conservatoire, tenor saxophonist Ben Powling has
performed extensively across the UK, Europe and Asia honing a personal
style based in a love of 60s jazz, West African musical styles and
punk. He’ll be performing with the JazzLeeds Trio. Seven Bar. Pay What You Feel.

Wednesday 2nd October, 7.30pm, Murder Inc. – Peri Perished
Chicken. Murder Inc. is the only murder mystery that you're
an accessory to! The show is a wholly improvised crime story; grab your
detective team and come solve a comedy murder mystery set at Nandos.

More fab jazz on Thursday
3rd October, 7.30pm, JazzLeeds – Joel Frahm Trio.
The astonishing talent, UIS sax player Joel Frahm, returns to Leeds
with his saxophone-led trio, celebrating the release of the decade-long
trio’s first record “The Bright Side”. Seven Venue. £20/18 in advance; £20 on the door.

Locusts, a
powerful new work from Orange Works comes to Seven on Friday 4th October, 8pm.
The play explores the impact of the past on present day life in a
compelling mix of drama and northern humour, love, family and faith.
Locusts received critical and audience acclaim at the 2023 Edinburgh
Festival Fringe. Seven

On Saturday 5th
October, 4-6pm, Autumn Sessions – Colour of
Light. This is a guitar, mandolin, banjo, double bass and
harmonica ensemble who blend folk, blues, bluegrass and classical
influences into their own unique sound, delivering finely crafted
original songs. Seven

Also on Saturday 5th
October, The Bondurants – A Contemporary Twist on
Alt-Country presents music that draws from a melting pot of
influences, echoing the likes of Tom Petty, Creedence Clearwater
Revival, and John Mayer. Yet, what truly sets them apart is their
ability to infuse heartland American rock with a distinctly British
twist, creating a sound that’s both modern and nostalgically timeless. Seven Venue. £15.
JazzLeeds – Nicola Farnon
Trio returns to Seven on Sunday
6th October, 1-4pm. Widely recognised as one of the
classiest Jazz and Swing singers and double bassists in the UK,
songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nicola Farnon has a remarkable
musical pedigree, both parents being professional classical musicians
and her great uncle no less than the late Robert Farnon. Seven Venue. Doors 1pm. £12 /
£10 conc. £12 on the door. Under 16s free.
Also on Sunday 6th
October, 7.30pm, get ready to test you knowledge at the Seven Quiz in a
relaxed atmosphere – a great way to end the weekend with friends and
