The 6th
annual 250-word Microfiction Challenge kicks
off next Friday, November 8th, and will challenge writers
worldwide to create very short stories based on genre, action, and
word assignments in 48 hours. Feedback from the judges is provided
for every submission, writers keep all the rights to the stories
they create, and there are thousands in cash and prizes for

As
previously announced, we will be publishing the top three stories
from last year's 250-word Microfiction Challenge. Next up is
the second place story, "One Last Thing Before We Go," by
