Creative Kirklees
|
Are we really over half way through
the school summer holidays? Time is running away and there’s still so
much to see and do! Check out the
summer activities
section on our website where you'll still find plenty of ideas to keep you
busy for the rest of the summer - we've included some here in our newsletter
but, as always, we only have room to include a small amount of what is on
offer. We're absolutely certain you will find something to tempt you! Summer will be turning into Autumn
all too soon, but the good side of this is that the new Kirklees Concert Season
is just around the corner! Starting in September, the Kirklees Concert
Season is a key part of the Kirklees Year of Music 2023. With sumptuous
orchestral concerts, uplifting lunchtime chamber concerts, together with a
series of relaxed and friendly lunchtime organ concerts, we encourage you to
go along and enjoy some world-class music here on our doorstep in
Huddersfield and Dewsbury Town Halls. We list in the Kirkees Concert
Season section below the concerts coming up in September and October and you
can see the full list of concerts here.
With subscription packages
still available now is the time to book! Organ Stops: Saving the
King of Instruments is a Documentary Film and Talk coming
up at Huddersfield Town Hall on Tuesday 19 September about the crisis facing
Britain’s pipe organs. You might want to share details of this event with
anyone you know who has an interest in organs and organ music. |
