Dear, Do you ever mindlessly site-surf Net-a-Porter or Matches, dropping things in your basket, scanning the sales stuff, refining your search by cheapest first…? It’s slightly akin to fridge-surfing, reaching for a chunk of cheese/chocolate/cake you don’t really need, trying to scratch some kind of emotional itch. I was doing this the other day and clocked that on Net alone there were 17,804 items in the clearance section. It stopped me in my internet tracks, wondering where this swag ends up, but really knowing that fashion’s story doesn’t generally have a happy ending. I closed the tab, got up, took the dog for a walk, and scratched my own itch in the fresh air – for free. Have a great week.
