Dear, Another day, another sporting occasion to be glued to – even if the sun is shining outside. The Lionesses, we pray, will roar their way to a wildly exciting conclusion today as they tackle Spain for top spot in the Women’s World Cup. This is quite an emotional, watershed moment for women’s sport, and so many, many years and battles in the making. Win or lose, it doesn’t really matter (well, it does a bit), the message that women and sport are not mutually exclusive in terms of power, money and excitement should not dwindle on this day.
