Multinational companies and human rights violations in emerging economies: does commitment to CSR matter?

Professor Kweku Adams
Tuesday 9 May 2023
14:00 - 15:00

Join us for this Academic Insight Webinar with Professor Kweku Adams, who will share his research and insights on multinational corporations and human rights violations in emerging economies. The webinar will have a particular focus on multinationals’ commitment to corporate social responsibility, and whether the implemented CSR programmes show tangible results in the global south.

Professor Adams will discuss the case of multinational organisations having a resource-seeking interest when operating in emerging economies. As his research will show, this often results in human rights violations, particularly in countries with weak legal, institutional and regulatory systems.

Attendees will also be able to ask questions at the end of the webinar.
