Hello and welcome again to our newsletter
which we hope inspires you to be creative.
As spring turns into
summer, we are keeping our fingers crossed for some good weather
especially now that Bands
in the Park has made a welcome return for
2023. 30 free weekend concerts are taking place – they began
last weekend for the Coronation and run through until Sunday 27
August with brass and silver, jazz, swing and blues bands all
playing. Do try and find time to go along and listen to some of
this free music and at the same time enjoy the surroundings of some
of our beautiful parks.
The &Piano
Festival in Slaithwaite is about to get underway,
celebrating and showcasing some beautiful live classical music - they
have some lovely events going on in various venues around the village
with tickets still available.
Holmfirth
Arts Festival takes place between May – October
(with the major outdoor festival weekend on 17-18 June 2023), and
gets started with an Accessible
Riverside Amble with music and creative activities
for people with mobility issues on Wednesday 17 May
and award-winning singer-songwriter, and daughter of cult blues
figure, Victor Brox, Kyla
Brox will be performing at Brockholes Village
Hall on Saturday 20 May.
