London-based literary agency for debut, bestselling
and award-winning authors and publishers.
Having worked in publishing since 1996 for
publishers as well as literary agencies, Lorella set up the
Lorella Belli Literary Agency (LBLA) in 2002. She is particularly
interested in first time novelists, journalists with original book
ideas, multi-cultural and international writing, and books about
Italy.
Lorella represents and manages several bestselling
and award-winning authors of fiction and non-fiction, as well as
successful originally self-published authors, and sell their
worked globally, in all markets and media.
LBLA handles full-length fiction (from literary to
genre – women’s fiction, historical and crime/thrillers in
particular; Young Adult fiction) and general non-fiction
(memoirs, biography, autobiography, self-help, travel, sport,
women’s issues, humour, popular music, popular science, popular
history, fashion, food/wine, mainstream business, personal
finance, lifestyle, media personalities, current affairs).
As well as representing the agency authors
worldwide, she works with American and other foreign literary
agencies selling their authors’ projects in the UK; and they sell
translation rights on behalf of their clients (authors and
publishers) as well as for other literary agencies.
The agency work with co-agents in the USA and
worldwide, as well as with film/TV agents, to ensure our writers are
represented in all media and territories.
Their list includes a number of New York Times and
Sunday Times bestselling authors and award-winning writers of
fiction and non-fiction, and she is keen to read original and
interesting new book proposals by established as well as new
writers.
