Leeds Jazz Festival 2023: Snazzback with Support from Ellusive Dip


It's just 1 until this absolute blinder of a gig featuring one of the UK's top new School jazz acts with support from Leeds young guns Ellusive Dip

Snazzback’s electrifying chemistry has wowed audiences at Ronnie Scott’s, festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown & Shambala and gained support from BBC radio heavyweights including Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova and Jamie Cullum.

The second wave of tickets are now available via eventbrite, don't sleep on this.

James Hennessy Cognac

Created for the house’s 250th anniversary back in 2015, this exceptionally rare cognac was named in honour of founder Richard Hennessy’s son, James, who established the house and hired James Fillioux as master blender. A member of the Fillioux family has occupied the role ever since, over 8 generations and over 200 years. 

Wonderfully delicate, incredibly well balanced with hints of mild tobacco and subtle toasty notes on the nose, with fresh apricot, pistachio and peach on the palate.

Vocalist and guitarist Harry Orme has been entertaining audiences across the UK and Europe for more than a decade. Tonight he'll be bringing a slice of Americana with the Rhythm-n-Blues classics of Ray Charles & Bill Withers alongside folk favourites by Bob Dylan & James Taylor.

The Tom Harris Quartet  
 

Tom Harris is a Mancunian pianist, improviser, composer, and educator, most heavily influenced by Black American Music. Tonight Tom will be playing some of his own compositions influenced by artists such as Cécile McLorin Salvant, Art Tatum, Nina Simone & Esperanza Spalding.

The Suitcase Rags Trio     

The Suitcase Rags Trio are a Leeds-based Skiffle group playing American Folk music, Blues covers and original material in an authentic style.

Los Chichanos

The band behind Edinburgh’s late-night fiestas, Los Chichanos formed to heat up their audiences with pumping Latin music. Mixing Latin percussion, psychedelic surf-inspired guitar and mesmerizing melodies from the Amazon and the Andes, Los Chichanos perform Jungle Cumbia and “Chicha”.

Blues, Funk, Soul and improv from Leeds’s newest late-night trio! Featuring members of Flat Moon and Monomyth Records head honcho Bob Brazill along with a rotating cast of special guests for good measure”.

The Dija Bhlue Band        

Soul singer Dija Bhlue is inspired by Neo-Soul/Jazz and R&B artists from Jill Scott to Aretha Franklin. Backed by an exceptional band, it's always a great night when Dija's in town.

Playing out some of the funkiest grooves of the 60s and 70s, expect to hear the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Prince and many more booty shakers and boogy makers.

Pat Fulgoni & Sam Bolt     


When Billboard Magazine USA eloquently said "Fulgoni could sing a pearl from its oyster" they weren't wrong.
